BUG244_draft3: Randy Wolff’s write-up based on Arpad Muranyi’s original concern discussed on May 2, 2023. Randy showed the latest draft of the bug report for review and comment in the meeting. This draft added some comments regarding how BUG228 was implemented. There is currently some inconsistency in the error reported if an IBS file is checked directly or if checked when referenced from an EMD file. The bug report shows the conditions to not generate some errors in certain conditions and add the generation of an error E0730 when appropriate. The group discussed the potential logic change in how the parser checks by version requirements. Randy made a test case that introduced an error in the IBS file that was unrelated to the EMD compatibility behavior. The current checking logic is what we expected. c. Quality Specification and checklist power aware discussion. Arpad Muranyi provided feedback to Weston about the package model topic. He suggested that the specification should describe the pros and cons of the different levels of package modeling. Weston asked the task group about this recommendation. The group agreed that this addition is a good idea. Weston will add some details to the package model section of the specification. Weston asked to submit the specification to the open forum this week. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): a.
